Composer
Philip Glass is regarded as one of the 20th century’s most influential composers. During Göteborg Film Festival he performed at the Scandinavium with his ground-breaking movie soundtrack Koyaanisqatsi. He also did a Master Class at the festival.
Koyaanisqatsi, directed by Godfrey Reggio and produced by Francis Ford Coppola, made its enormous breakthrough upon its release in 1983. With its original imagery and meditation on mankind and civilization, it intrigued audiences regardless cultural and linguistic barriers.
