Thea Hvistendahl graduated with a directors degree from Westerdals School of
Communication in 2013. She started specializing in making music videos and have since
2015 been making shorts and commercials as well. In December 2017 her first feature
The Monkey and The Mouth premiered in cinemas all over Norway with huge critical
acclaim. The film is a hybrid between concert film and fictional narrative. Her films have
been screened at several festivals around the world and The Monkey and The Mouth will
now have it’s international premiere at Göteborg Film Festival.
