Mona Masri was born in Beirut, grew up in Malmö and has after living in Berlin, Stockholm and Los Angeles settled down in Copenhagen. As a journalist, she has been working with major Swedish newspapers and broadcasters such as Dagens Nyheter, Swedish Radio and Swedish Television. After ten years of working as a writing journalist, she started experimenting with writing fiction for film and television and was accepted into the scriptwriting eduction Alma in 2017. She has studied journalism at Lund University and Stockholm University and taken courses in narration and creative writing at Stockholm University of the Arts and the Danish Film School.
