Kaisa El Ramly graduated with an MA-degree in Film Studies from the Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture, ELO Film School Helsinki in 2016. She also has a BA-degree in acting from the Academy of Performing Arts (DAMU) in Prague, and has a long background both as an actress and director in theatre. Her graduation film Born Wrong, which she wrote, produced and directed has been screened at several international festivals. Currently she is developing, as a writer/director, her debut feature film Scenes From a Dying Town for which she won the Nordic Talent 2016 main prize.
